I finally got around to ordering a new keyboard for my MacBook Pro, to replace the one which lost a few keys on our last Fedex Day.
I was a little nonplussed by this response via Paypal:
“The seller has provided the following Order Status information for your review: Order Status: 已发货”
So much for taking the supremacy of the English language for granted!
Fortunately Google Translate told me that this means ‘Posted’ — not ‘Running Dog of Capitalism will never see his filthy money again’.

Yes, I received it — I think it took about 2 weeks from China to Australia. I guess that if you are buying something from China it’s easiest for the seller to ship it using a Chinese company.

i have just purchased some GHD’s and also received the same comment 已发货. I also received an email from paypal with a tracking number for the item. I entered this onto the courier web site which didnt acknowledge the number? rather concerned as the money has been taken from my account!

Yeah, I bought from eBay and paid with PayPal. Got an email supposedly from the seller saying my item has been shipped. I plugged in the tracking number and it said it was invalid. I also got 已发货 listed as my Order Status. Have any of you who also got that received your items???? Please give me good news!!!!!! :
Thank God for this commentary section! I had the exact same thing happen to me this morning. I had ordered a pair of UGSS from uggsforwomen.com and I received a PayPal status email with the order status written in Chinese. A lot of good that does to me. Sheesh! Thanks to this commentary site, I now know that means “shipped.”

Hi all, after reading all the comments above i feel slightly relieved that i am not alone in my situation. I ordered a pair of boots from buymyuggcom the money was taken out of my account straight away and only 3 weeks later have i been given a tracking number which actually doesn’t appear to exist. Am i likely to get any boots?!! I wonder… possibly been scammed and if they do turn up i now imagine there likely to be fakes!! The website claimed it was american but all correspondance is in Chinese!

hi there, im relieved to see im not the only person who has done this. i bought a pair of GHDs off a website that claimed it was ligitamate and an official seller for GHD. turns out its not! as i got the same chinese thing on my order status and i then found out GHDs are not dispensed or manifactured in china and actually when they arrive if they ever arrive they will be fake!
I have also been introduced to the order status jargin (已发货). I bought a flat iron nearly two weeks ago and I haven’t seen it yet. Why can’t they put it in plain simple Eglish? Sarah, your dress has most likely only just been shipped, most of those dress sites (where they make the dresses?) takes 3 weeks to make them… did you have to give your measurements so they could make your dress?
Mine was rushed through, because I’m getting married on the 23rd, but I was assured delivery before then, so I shall let yous all know. I’m surprised they were able to ship so fast. My seller has 100% positive feedback, so I’m hoping this is not a scam – I have a backup outfit just incase, but this dress was awesome and perfect for my day – It can’t find my tracking info yet, but give it a few days and it will probably find it. Mine was sent DHL, so it won’t show up on the candian DHL site until it’s hit Canada (at least that’s how Royal Mail, Canada Post and UPS works). I’m about to try to see if there’s a global site and to email and check my tracking number. It has no letters and DHL says theirs have letters and numbers… will check back and update asap.

I wouldn’t worry guys. I just did some checking out. I went to DHL China, I put in the tracking number there – it’s all in chinese so it’s lucky it had a little search symbol! – my order came up right away… once it gets to Canada I’ll be able to search it there in English. But it said all the correct info… Shanghai to Canada, etc. I translated all the points of scanning, there were several. It’s definiately on its way, woot! Most of them usually send EMS, but bc this was rush shipment, they did it DHL for me… So, whichever shipment service was used (it should say in the email you recieved), go to the home site of the country it came from. It won’t show up on your end until it reaches there. I hope everyone gets their goods! (Including me! But, I’m not so worried now, it all seems legit – and the first guy got his shrug). I can’t comment on the fake or real issue, but you should definitely recieve them =D Ash x

Hum…I ordered the UGG boots off ebay and the seller stated they were in OH and TX. I then received an email from ebay stating they closed the accounts of the sellers. Did anyone every receive their UGG boots???????

I just did the same thing- ordered Uggs off ebay and used paypal. It said my boots have been shipped but the shipping number isn’t found on EMS. Can any one let me know if they got their boots?
The same thing just happen to me. I ordered as DS game for my son and that funny symbol showed up. (已发货’) Also the tracking number is doesn’t exit. I will never order anything outside the US again!!

fucccckkkkk definitely a scam….even though i’m trying to stay positive. my payment was received and showed up on my credit card bill and then the E-bay user was no longer registered on ebay?!!??!?! WTF
Had most of the same issues as other posts eg ebay withdrew seller for ‘breaching ebay’s rules’, chinese writing on order and me wondering if my purple ghd stylers would ever arrive. Well, they did and are genuine so hope this allays some of the fears people have expressed in previous posts.
i had a problem with a pair of uggs i prdered off ebay. at first i was so worried because they were supposed to be my christmas present from my mom. The person i bid off of was from, china and the tracking # i recieved did not show up on usps which was what the shipping info told me was the source so i waited a couple of days and i tries tracking my order on this shipping company from china called ems just go to http://www.ems.com and type in the shipping # of the item and it should track it. Mine took almost a week to be recognized but its on its way i’m not saying all your orders are the same but i hope i shine some hope on your orders being that i had most of your problems 
No, none of you got your product and neither did I. I opened a case with ebay and they refunded my money within a week. The rest is like most of you: I ordered a North Face jacket for $62 and the seller took my money and immediately closed their account. No shipping confirmation other than that weird chinese character after I requested confirmation. I ordered on 12/10/09, started making inquiries around 12/24, then opened a case on 12/26. They asked me to contact seller, which of course you can’t since they are in China, but I still emailed them. Nothing–so paypal refunded my money easily. Next time I’ll be more careful. This blog actually helped me see how this scam is quite widespread and my case was exactly like all of yours. Good luck!

i had also some problems, so it seemed. I bought an USB stick at eBay and just when my payment was deducted from my PayPal-account, the item was deleted from eBay! So i couldn’t track the status of my purchased item on delivery. But shortly before the deletion, i recieved an e-mail from eBay with a tracking number from the China Post.
At first i thought i was scammed but that i came upon this (forum) site and i felt encouraged to wait a while if my tracking number would come up with a response at the tracking site. After all, to start an get-back-payment-procedure with eBay or Paypal was still possible within 30 days of purchase or so.
So i waited for a couple of days (less than a week) and my tracking number got a status response from the trackingsite of China Post. Well i was relieved, something happened with the item: it was shipped. Altough it took almost 3 weeks, and got some other item tracking statussen, i recieved my item in the mail!
I have to say that when the item has left the ‘arrival at transit office of exchange’ (after that it left the country of China) which was my last status, the status wasn’t updated for a week when i finally recieved the item. I guess that status updates are difficult after the item has send off.
So everyone, when you got a tracking number from eBay, you can be asure that your item is in the mail and you don’t have to worry about it. It just takes long before you recieve it, just count on 4 weeks or so. And it’s always possible to start a money-get-back-procedure.

I ordered a 1:1 clone Nokia and had no problem with the transaction nor delivery. Now in saying that, a friend of mine ordered from a different site and he got 已发货 status from Paypal. We’re not sure if the order is going to arrive as its already 6 weeks but I did ask him to use the site I use but he refused just because of £2 difference. I told him to wait 2 months and if it doesn’t arrive, he should say goodbye to his hard-earned cash. I almost don’t Paypal anymore because they said they couldn’t do anything even though the seller provided fake tracking number. Just be careful guys!
